I move between the gravity of the earth and the lightness of the air, sensing how time transforms everything it touches. Everything I hold bears witness to fragility and impermanence. In this attentive presence, life emerges through the fleeting and the unexpected; my hands become witnesses to an ongoing dialogue between life and death.
My work reflects on the vulnerability of existence and the tension between progress and destruction. I develop dense, dark surfaces on textiles using liquid asphalt and industrial oils. The viscosity of these materials creates surfaces of intense chromatic depth and gives rise to atmospheres with a strong sensory resonance. At the same time, I facilitate encounters between industrial and organic materials, activating processes such as oxidation and corrosion, which function both as method and as language.
